This premium Japanese matcha tea comes from Uji, Kyoto, the heart of Japan's matcha culture. The leaves are ground into a fine powder, allowing you to whisk up a thick infusion for a rich, flavorful experience. This high-quality matcha, made from steamed, dried, and ground Gyokuro tea leaves, is perfect for preparing “usucha” (thin tea) for the Japanese tea ceremony. The result is a deep emerald tea with a subtle sweetness and layers of flavor.

 

Brewing Instructions:
Put 2 teaspoons of matcha in a matcha bowl and pour 4 tablespoons of hot water (65°C) over the tea. Whisk rapidly until a thin layer of foam forms. Matcha can also be used in cooking, for green tea ice cream, or served as iced tea, lattes, or milkshakes.
